Marie Otsuka is a graphic designer seeking to change the tools of communication. She is the designer and developer of Low-Tech Magazine’s solar-powered website. She earned an MFA in graphic design from RISD and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Chicago.

Curry Hackett combines public art, graphic design, and urban design. His design practice, Wayside Studio in Washington, DC, collaborates with communities and organizations to engage culture, ecology, and place. He teaches architecture at his alma mater, Howard University.

Kristian Bjornard designs books, identities, websites, and digital tools investigating design and sustainability. He is co-founder of climatedesigners.org, a global, cross-disciplinary platform. He teaches at MICA, where he earned an MFA in graphic design.
